A bipartisan group of Midwest Senators are urging the Trump Administration to uphold the Renewable Fuel Standard and reject requests by oil industry representatives to have it waived. National Corn Growers Association President and Iowa farmer Kevin Ross appreciates the Senator’s support for biofuels.

He says besides upholding the RFS it’s critical the ethanol plants get operating at full capacity again and other segments of agriculture including processing facilities get back to full speed.

Ross says the pandemic has created extra stress for the Rural Economy and ag interests must team together to urge policy makers to get out as much assistance as possible.

Ross says unjustified requests to undermine the RFS would bring more economic harm to agriculture.
