The Occupational Safety and Health Administration or OSHA has released exemptions to the mandatory COVID 19 vaccine mandate for large, private employers. That mandate doesn’t take effect until January 4 and goes into effect after harvest season. National Council of Farmer Cooperative’s President Chuck Conner is disappointed OSHA’s rule comes at a time when Co-ops like many businesses are having a hard time hiring and keeping workers. He says they’ve already met with O-M-B on the issue.
He says what’s positive is a District Court ruling issuing a stay against OSHA’s emergency mandated vaccine order.
Conner says what’s also disturbing is that when CO=Ops are having the problem of filling job openings any order mandating vaccination or testing just compels workers not to comply.

Conner says just because they’re opposing this move by OSHA and mandating vaccination, they are still in favor workers and everyone being vaccinated if its their choice.
