NCBA Watching To See How Administration Handles Navigable Waters Protection Rule

NCBA Watching To See How Administration Handles Navigable Waters Protection Rule

Agriculture groups including the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association are concerned with any possible move by the Biden administration to throw out the Navigable Waters Protection Law and replace it with WOTUS. Minnesota Cattle Producer Don Scheifelbein is President-Elect of NCBA. He says one comforting thought is that as difficult it is to get a rule enacted, it’s more difficult to take one off.

He doesn’t believe President Biden will take drastic actions that would harm agriculture.

Schiefelbein says cattle producers have a great story to tell about how they benefit the environment and how that will enhance climate change efforts by the new President.

Schiefelbein says NCBA is watching closely to see what direction the likely new EPA administrator Michael Regan will take with regulations once he’s confirmed.
