Last week, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association President Bob McCan testified before the House Ways and Means Committee. He told the committee about the importance of trade agreements to the cattle industry. He says having a completed Trans Pacific Partnership including Japan is a top priority for the U.S. beef industry.
McCan also told committee members they need to get Trade Promotion Authority passed and sent to the President so they can get needed trade agreements over the goal line.
He says one of the keys to getting TPA approved is to bring together Senate Democrat leaders and get them to agree to give that to President Obama.
