Congress has passed their Fiscal Year 2015 appropriations bill. The measure contains several components that affect agriculture. National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Vice President of Government Affairs Colin Woodall says one of the most important parts of the budget bill calls for repeal of EPA’s interpretive rule.
Woodall says other important provisions in the House appropriations measure included fixing of Country of Origin Labeling as well as pushing back listing of an endangered species.
Woodall says the appropriations bill also directs the Secretary of Agriculture to withdraw his second beef check off proposal.
