The Mexican government is in the process of making regulatory changes that allows for import of U.S. beef and beef products derived from cattle of any age. National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Vice President of Government Affairs Colin Woodall says the move is a big victory for America’s cattle producers opening that market further to U.S. product.
Woodall says Mexico is not only an important market for U.S. beef but the U.S. is also an important customer of Mexican products.
Woodall credited the U.S. Meat Export Federation for their hard work in the lengthy process it took to get Mexico to further open their market.
