The change to a new President with the election of Joe Biden replacing President Donald Trump could mean some changes for agriculture and the environmental issues impacting that industry. Watching the transition closely is Scott Yager, Chief Environmental Counsel for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. He says there are a lot of unknowns as to what might occur.

He says there are some sketchy details on some environmental proposals Biden is likely to push for most of that geared toward the climate and renewable fuels.

Yager says President Elect Biden may find it challenging trying to aggressively address environmental issues what with the pandemic still out there limiting some movement.

Yager says NCBA will continue to work with elected officials from both sides of the aisle to address any environmental concerns impacting agriculture, especially as this new transition takes place and new leaders take over for both the House and Senate Ag Committees.
