Trans Atlantic Trade negotiators will meet in Miami next week for the 11th. round of the T-TIP talks. National Cattlemen Beef Association’s Vice President of Government Affairs Colin Woodall says those discussions won’t likely go anywhere until Congress approves the just concluded Trans Pacific Partnership agreement.
Woodall says it won’t be easy to get approval for TPP as currently votes aren’t there.
He says as far as T-TIP or any other trade agreement goes, all of those hinge on what Congress does with TPP.
The Trans Atlantic trade talks run from October 19 through October 23 in Miami with much of the focus expected to be on biotechnology and use of feed additives such as ractopamine.
