NCBA Intervenes in WOTUS Repeal

NCBA Intervenes in WOTUS Repeal

Late last month environmental activists filed a lawsuit challenging the Trump administration’s repeal of the 2015 Waters of the U.S. Rule. The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and several other groups are intervening in court to protect the repeal. NCBA Chief Environmental Counsel Scott Yager says their coalition represents a wide spectrum of interests.

He says the 2015 WOTUS regulations included a widespread overreach of federal regulations over waters.

Yager expects the new WOTUS rule, which NCBA backs, to come out sometime this month.

Yager says while they support the new language they did provide some suggestions for improvements during the comment period.
