National Cattlemen Beef Association officials are now concentrating on a new Waters of the U.S. rule which is more friendly to agriculture. NCBA’s Chief Environmental Counsel Scott Yager says their efforts got a boost last week when a Texas District Court ruled the 2015 WOTUS was illegal and sent it back to EPA.

He says the court ruling on the 2015 WOTUS is a significant one.

Yager says the public comment period has now closed on the WOTUS remake and it isn’t likely to be finalized until the end of the year.

Yager says the 2015 WOTUS court decision affirmed what his group has been saying all along, that the EPA violated the Administrative Procedures Act with the regulation.
