NCBA Officials say they welcome any opposition to the EPA’s Waters of the U.S. Rule which they are engaged on in court opposing it. NCBA Vice President of Government Relations Colin Woodall says they’re pleased to hear one of the Presidential Candidates vowing to stop it if he’s elected.

He says his group is also battling against WOTUS by working with members of Congress.

Woodall says now that the issue is in the courts, the EPA is standing pat on their proposed rule and is not willing to even talk about possibly changing it.

Earlier this week the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit in Atlanta ordered a stay of a legal challenge to WOTUS in their court. The Sixth Circuit ruled previously it had jurisdiction to hear numerous legal challenges to the rule. Last October that court stayed WOTUS nationally.
