Senators Joni Ernst of Iowa and Roger Marshall of Kansas have introduced legislation that would prohibit federal agencies from enacting bans on serving meat to federal employees. Ernst says she wants to keep anti-meat policies from moving forward or getting a legislative toe hold. National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Vice President of Government Affairs Ethan Lane appreciates the Senator’s support on this issue.

He says it’s critical the beef industry keeps taking its message to the Biden Administration, to Congress and to consumers to counter the pushback coming from the anti-meat activists.

Lane says those who want to eliminate beef from American’s diets are only expected to keep up their attacks and misinformation.

Ernst and Marshall may have a bit of a challenge to get their legislation passed as Democrats have majorities in both the Senate and House.
