Trade Ambassador Katherine Tai this week completed the month long review of the U.S. trade relationship with China. National Cattlemen Beef Association’s Senior Vice President of International Trade and Market Access Kent Bacus says they’re pleased the administration is finally moving forward on trade policy.

He says in their review the Administration is also looking at holding China accountable to their Phase one trade agreement with the U.S.

Bacus says the Biden Administration is also attempting to hold China’s feet to the fire on protection of technologies by strategically employing tariffs yet working to improve the overall relationship between the two countries.

Bacus says besides moving trade with China, NCBA is also hopeful the President will seek to get the U.S into a trade pact with the former TPP countries in the new CPTPP.
