National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s marketing and international trade policy committee has approved a resolution for the group to consider regarding changes to mandatory price reporting.  The resolution was passed at NCBA’s summer committee and was put together as the feds will reauthorize MPR in September of 2015.  Iowa Cattlemen’s President Ed Greiman who serves on the committee says they’re working with packers to improve the cut out.

Greiman says the committee also put in the resolution a proposed change for fed cattle to include weekly reporting of basis trading.

Greiman says their committee wants to make sure those MPR proposed changes ensure the data that reflects the market place.
