The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association along with the Public Lands Council says it’s time the grizzly bears are delisted from the Endangered Species Act. NCBA’s Vice President of Government Affairs Ethan Lane says populations of both grizzly bears and gray wolves have increased enough it’s time to remove the ESA designation.

He says the ESA issue covers the entire U.S. and effects producers everywhere.

Lane says the grizzly bears not only impact animals but also can be dangerous to humans.

The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works held a hearing on Wednesday talking about Wyoming Senator Mike Enzi’s legislation introduced last year to de list the grizzly bear as well as prohibit further judicial review of that delisting. Both NCBA and PLC support the measure.
