NCBA And PLC Ask Feds To Withdraw Waters Of The U.S. Rule

Tuesday, the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association along with the Public Lands Council filed comments on EPA and The Army Corps of Engineer’s proposed Waters of the U.S. Rule. NCBA Environmental Counsel Ashley McDonald says the rule vastly expands the agencies’ jurisdiction and attempts to regulate all land uses and should be immediately withdrawn.
McDonald says EPA and the Corps have not been listening to what stakeholders are telling them about their problems with the proposed rule.
She says if EPA and the Corps proceed with this rule they are in violation of the U.S. Constitution.
McDonald adds that if the rule is approved it takes away all the rights of the states because there are no waters left to regulate, it’s all in the hands of EPA and the Corps of Engineers.
