Today, a Coalition of 12 groups including the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association filed a lawsuit against the EPA and the Army Corps of Engineers over their Clean Water Rule also known as WOTUS. NCBA President and Wyoming rancher Philip Ellis says the rewrite of the Waters of the U.S. rule creates so much uncertainty it needs to be done away with.
Ellis says the rule is an expansion of the federal agencies powers that will create more harm to the land than it intends to protect.
Joining NCBA in the lawsuit: Public Lands Council, American Farm Bureau, American Petroleum Institute, National Corn Growers Association, National Pork Producers Council and six other groups.
