National Biodiesel Board officials are busy working on their policy agenda and weighing in with the administration and Congress. NBB’s Vice President Of Federal Affairs Kurt Kovarik says they’re hoping to convince the administrations that biodiesel has a clear role in helping battle climate change.

He says NBB wants to see the administration include biodiesel in its infrastructure legislation and for Congress to approve a long term blender’s credit for the industry.

Kovarik says they’re asking for a meeting with the EPA administrator to show him the results of their latest study that showed major health benefits from biodiesel.

Kovarik says NBB wants both the President and members of Congress to realize that biodiesel on average achieves a 74% reduction in carbon emissions today.
