The National Biodiesel Board is in the process of battling several attacks against the Renewable Fuel Standard from the oil refining industry. NBB’s Paul Winters says oil interests have been running their own ad campaign to convince President Biden to reverse his course on supporting the RFS. He says that’s why NBB launched their own ad campaign this week.

He says they’re also opposing attempts by Senators Pat Toomey, Dianne Feinstein and Cory Booker to reintroduce legislation that would eliminate the RFS.

Winters says the other attack on the RFS that’s hurting their industry is failure of the EPA to release the 2021 RFS volumes.

Winters says the biodiesel industry needs the certainty those volumes provide which ensure investment in biodiesel facilities.
