Argentina is reducing its biodiesel blends and taking its soy oil and exporting more of that. That country is already the top exporter of soy oil. National Biodiesel Board Director and Nebraska grower Greg Anderson says Argentina exports a lot of both soy oil and soymeal. He says this move by the South American nation shows the increasing demand for soybean oil
He says whatever soybean oil is exported by Argentina will eventually end up in renewable biodiesel.
Anderson says the recent push toward lower carbon standards is helping generate more production of biodiesel in the U.S.
Anderson says biodiesel fits in well with the Administration’s goal of battling climate change and eventually reaching net zero emissions.
