National Biodiesel Board CEO Donnell Rehagen and ASA President Davie Stephens are requesting a meeting with President Donald Trump to talk about small refinery waivers and the RFS. Rehagen says they want to show the President why granting those waivers is causing a lot of economic damage and attempt to get him to reverse course

He says while the ethanol industry has suffered a lot of demand destruction from the small refiner exemptions, biodiesel has been hit even harder.

Rehagen says several biodiesel plants have already cut back but what’s even more troubling is the uncertainty the waivers have caused for the biodiesel industry.

Rehagen says soybean farmers have been great supporters of President Trump, especially on trade and the least he can do is listen to their concerns by granting this meeting.
