The National Association of Wheat Growers is pleased funding has been allocated for Farm Service Agency loan programs in the Continuing Resolution which funds the government through April 28 of 2017. NAWG President Gordon Stoner says that funding is badly needed given the depressed ag economy.

Stoner says Congress needs to have a long term solution in place to keep from having to pass midnight hour legislation and to make sure money is there for those needed programs.

While the House passed the short term spending bill on Thursday, NAWG and others are hoping the Senate takes it up today.
