A national search has been launched to find a new CEO for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
Courtney Phillips is leaving Nebraska in mid-October to take a similar position in Texas.
Governor Pete Ricketts says it’s important to get the right person

Ricketts says Phillips changed the culture at HHS and improved its services, but he says more needs to be done.

HHS is the largest department in state government, taking up a third of state government spending.
