The National Pork Board on September 1 will be launching its new Master Brand, ‘’REAL PORK’’. NPB Vice President of Domestic Marketing Angie Krieger says that master brand will be the platform for all the marketing and communication programs for the Pork Checkoff.

She says REAL PORK will help consumers understand their product better and help them access that more conveniently.

Krieger says pulled and ground pork sales were on an upswing during this recent pandemic with more people eating at home and their goal is to extend that success going forward.

Krieger says some consumers have believed the myth that pork is not easy to prepare. She says that’s not true especially if it’s not overcooked. Krieger says with Chops and other Pork Loin cuts, it’s important to heat it at 145 degrees Fahrenheit and then let it rest three minutes before serving.
