The National Park Service can now move ahead with plans for improvements to several public access areas in and along the Missouri National Recreational River.
Lisa Yager a biologist with the Park Service based in Yankton, says they have a “Finding of No Significant Impact” for their projects….

Yager says they will be working on a number of landmarks on the river….

Other work will take place at the Bow Creek Recreation Area, and Mulberry Bend, both downstream of Yankton.

Yager says they want to keep a balance between the wild and scenic river, and public access….

Yager says they are planning to start the work this spring, and have some improvement available later this summer.
