The Environmental Protection Agency and Army Corps of Engineers is in the process of rewriting the Waters of the United States Rule. The National Milk Producers Federation is one of the farm groups that has filed comments on the rule with both agencies. The Federation’s Chris Galen says the original 2015 WOTUS rule was flawed.

He says the original WOTUS rule was also vague as to what was being regulated.

Galen says WOTUS impacts dairy producers in various ways, including the crops they grow to feed their herds.

Galen says he’s pleased the Trump administration is moving ahead and putting together a Clean Water Rule that’s workable for farmers.
