National Milk Producers Federation To Push For Immigration Bill

Coming out of last week’s annual meeting the National Milk Producers Federation set a priority for pushing Congress to pass Immigration Reform next year. Federation’s Chris Galen says they intend to keep the pressure on Congress until that measure gets over the finish line.
Galen says they’ve been fighting for this measure for quite awhile now and it’s important they don’t let off the gas but keep pressuring the House to finish the job the Senate completed in 2013 when they passed immigration legislation.
Galen says his group wants an immigration reform measure that helps provide a pathway to citizenship for immigrant workers and allows workers to remain in the country legally and work on dairy operations.
