National Milk Producers Federation Holding Annual Meeting

Attendees at The National Milk Producer Federation’s Annual meeting in Grapevine, Texas today through Wednesday will be talking about a host of issues including trade, the new farm bill dairy program and immigration. Federation’s Chris Galen says they’ll be talking about dairy producers new safety net in the farm bill, the margin protection program.
Galen says a large part of Tuesday’s session will be focused on trade.
Galen says they’ll also talk about the need for immigration reform legislation and their push for it next year. He says they’ll also be getting input from dairy producers at the meeting on the issue.
He says they’ll also elect officers and hear from an Ag Futurist as well as a political expert giving his outlook on the upcoming election and how that might impact the dairy industry.
