The National Dairy Council is celebrating their 100 year anniversary in 2015. The council’s mission has been to provide science based nutrition research on dairy products. South Dakota Dairy Princess Elizabeth Mayrose says this serves as the ammunition the dairy industry needs to debunk the many myths about the role of milk and dairy products in the diet.

She says over the years the National Dairy Council has also added research showing how dairy farmers are producing a heathy product in a sustainable manner.

Mayrose says this is the same information she is sharing with consumers at the various dairy events she’s participating in for June Dairy Month.
