National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Is Critical Of WOTUS Ruling

National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Is Critical Of WOTUS Ruling

The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association has expressed strong disappointment in a decision by the U-S District Court to deny a nationwide injunction that would have halted the Biden administration’s regulations on the Waters of the United States, or WOTUS from taking effect.  DeSmet South Dakota cattle producer and president of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Todd Wilkinson says the ruling by the Texas judge to only give exemption to Texas and Idaho, and not the entire nation is wrong.  However, Wilkinson says another court case on the issue now pending in North Dakota may give cattle producers, and everyone involved with agriculture some relief.

Wilkinson echoes the sentiment of many farmers and ranchers along with farm and commodity organizations claiming the EPA and the Biden administration is going too far with its regulations involving WOTUS.  The EPA is wanting to regulate non-navigational waters.
