The National Biodiesel Board unveiled its Vision 2020 program for growing the industry at its annual conference in Tampa, Florida this week. National Biodiesel Board’s Paul Winters says it’s a very aggressive strategy that calls for 15 billion gallons of biodiesel to be produced by 2050.

He says the real challenge will be getting the EPA to adjust its RFS volumes of biodiesel now that the tax credit has been approved.

Winters says several states already have biodiesel policies that have allowed for additional growth and it’s time EPA took those into account and adopted them.

Winters says their members are learning about this new Vision 2020 at their conference as well as getting new information on the latest vehicle technology, looking at the future of renewable fuels and hearing from expert speakers on environmental policy.
