National Biodiesel Board Director Says Tax Extender Critical For The Industry

Time is slipping away for the lame duck Congress to pass a measure extending the tax incentive for biodiesel. National Biodiesel Board member and Nebraska grower Greg Anderson says that incentive is badly needed by the industry.

He says if Congress fails to approve it this year, the biodiesel industry’s hope is it gets done sometime in January in the new Congress.

Anderson says having a long term extension would help give more certainty to biodiesel producers and farmers.

Anderson says they have a lot of support in Congress for the tax credit but lawmakers have failed to get it done in a timely fashion.
