A Freeman, S.D., man has been identified as the person who died early Friday morning in a one-vehicle crash north of Lesterville, S.D.
A 2005 Chrysler Pacifica was eastbound on 295th Street when the driver lost control on the gravel road. The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled.
The 24-year-old male passenger, Carlos Ramirez, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
Michael Dossett, 31, of Rapid City was the driver. He suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital. It is unknown whether he was wearing a seatbelt.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other agencies on scene were Yankton County Sheriff’s Office, Yankton County Fire Department and Yankton County Emergency Medical Services.
A Garretson, S.D., woman has been identified as the person who died Friday morning in a one-vehicle crash north of Montrose.
Therasa Anderson, 41, was driving a 2003 Dodge Caravan eastbound on 248th Street approaching a curve when she lost control. The vehicle went into the ditch, rolled and started on fire.
Anderson, who was the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known whether she was wearing a seatbelt.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other agencies on scene were McCook County Sheriff’s Office and Montrose Fire Department.
