Name Released in Meade County Fatal Crash

A Rapid City, S.D., man has been identified as the person who died Saturday in a one-vehicle crash north of Rapid City.

A 1992 GMC Sierra pickup left the roadway and collided with a box culvert on a creek embankment. The driver, 35-year-old Jeremy Smith, was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
