A 20-year-old woman from Alexandria, S.D. has been identified as the person who died early Tuesday in a one-vehicle rollover crash north of that town.

A 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was traveling southbound on 421st Avenue when the driver lost control near the 251st Street intersection. The vehicle crossed into the northbound lane, back across the roadway, into the west ditch and rolled over.

Ashley Moe, who was the driver, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

That area of 421st Avenue was closed to traffic for more than three hours.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
