Name Released in Brule County Fatal Accident

An Oshkosh, Wisconsin man has been identified as the person who died Thursday morning in a one-vehicle crash west of Kimball.

A 2004 Dodge Dakota pickup was eastbound on Interstate 90 when it went into the south ditch. The driver, 84-year-old Gerald Pierotti, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the Chamberlain hospital.

South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this time.
