Name Released in Bon Homme County Fatal Accident

A 60-year-old man from Tyndall has been identified as the person who died early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash south of Tyndall.

A 1994 Chevy 1500 pickup was northbound on South Dakota Highway 37 when it went into the east ditch and rolled.

Dennis Sternhagen, who was the driver, was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person involved.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this point.
