This week is National Ag Week, a time we recognize the hard work of America’s farmers and ranchers, and all those people involved with the agricultural industry. Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Naig says agriculture cherishes its history, while at the same time focuses on being innovative. Naig spoke at Le Mars during the Agriculture Business Luncheon.
Naig also spoke about the importance of agricultural trade and trade team missions. He touched on the importance of renewable fuels such as ethanol and biodiesel. Naig also spoke briefly about water quality efforts within the state. He says Iowa agriculture may have some challenges ahead in 2023, but he also says Iowa agriculture has many opportunities ahead for this year.
