Harvest in Iowa has been from one extreme to the other. Iowa Agriculture Secretary Mike Naig says the Hawkeye state has witnessed reduced yields in the northwest corner of the state due to the summer drought to well above average yields in the eastern sectors of the state. Naig says hybrids have improved to get the most yield potential even under challenging conditions. The Iowa Ag Secretary reminds everyone to be on the lookout for slow moving farm equipment on the roadways during the harvest season.
