Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig recently returned from a trade mission to Japan and South Korea.  Naig was joined by farmers and representatives from various Iowa commodity and farm organizations.  He says a delegation hasn’t visited Japan and South Korea since 2019.  Naig says the purpose of the trade mission was to meet face-to-face with several buyers of Iowa’s farm products.

Naig says the trade delegation met with several of Iowa’s customers of farm goods.

The Iowa Agriculture Secretary says Japanese officials were interested in acquiring more ethanol.

Naig says he will lead another farmer-based trade mission to Viet Nam and the Philippines in late March.
