The National Association of Conservation Districts is anxious to work with incoming President Donald Trump and his transition team to further conservation goals. NACD President Elect Brent Van Dyke says they’re hoping Trump understands the importance of voluntary and locally led conservation.
He says the key to advancing the best conservation possible is through that local and voluntary approach.
Van Dyke says another important priority is to make sure the new President appoints the right individual to lead USDA and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Van Dyke says his group is hoping to work with the new President and his cabinet appointments to achieve healthy soils, clean water and air to benefit future generations.
