The National Association of Conservation Districts signed a memorandum of understanding with Ducks Unlimited Monday, during the organization’s 73rd Annual Meeting. NACD President Brent Van Dyke says it establishes a formal commitment between both organizations to enhance the productivity of wildlife habitats on private lands.
He says both organizations share a common goal of assisting people in their efforts to utilize and effectively manage and preserve natural resources.
And Van Dyke says at the same time, landowners also benefit from increased yield and economic stability in their operation.
The multi-year MOU includes: habitat conservation projects, habitat restoration, delivering information and educational materials, collaborating on habitat and wildlife research, and implementing mutually beneficial outreach programs for both entities.
