The Missouri Valley Football Conference has tied an NCAA record (a record shared by CAA Football and the MVFC) with 5 teams in the 24-team FCS playoff field.
North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Western Illinois will represent the MVFC in the field.
NDSU and SDSU draw first round byes and will host games week two in the field of 16. The Jacks will face the winner of a first round matchup between Northern Iowa and Monmouth.
South Dakota plays a first round game this Saturday at Nicholls State in Louisiana.
