Three teams remain in the running for the top spot in the Missouri Valley Football Conference race, with South Dakota State holding their destiny in their own hands.

North Dakota State and South Dakota State are tied for first place in the league race with identical 6-1 records. If the teams end up tied (at either 6-2 or 7-1), South Dakota State will earn the league’s Automatic Qualifier spot.. If NDSU, SDSU and Youngstown State end up tied for first at 6-2, the three teams will share the league crown, and South Dakota State (by virtue of its wins against NDSU and YSU) will earn the league’s AQ.

North Dakota State remains fourth in both the FCS Coaches Poll and STATS FCS ratings.

South Dakota State is back in the top ten in both ratings, sitting at #10 in the Coaches poll and #8 in the STATS ratings.

Youngstown State rates in the top 15 in both rankings.
