Morningside will be the number one seed when the 2015 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Postseason Basketball Tournament begins on Wednesday, February 25.

The top-ranked Mustangs went 20-0 in the GPAC and 30-0 for the season.  As the number one seed the Mustangs have secured an automatic berth to the NAIA Women’s Division II National Tournament in Sioux City, Iowa, which runs March 11-17 at the Tyson Events Center.  Concordia is the two seed, Hastings the three seed, and Briar Cliff will be the fourth seed.  Northwestern is seeded fifth, Doane is sixth, Mount Marty is seeded seventh, and Dakota Wesleyan is the eighth seed.

The semifinals are on Saturday, February 28, at the highest two remaining seeds.  GPAC Championship Tuesday, sponsored by Rawlings, will be on Tuesday, March 3.  The GPAC Postseason Champion garners an automatic berth to the NAIA National Basketball Tournament (the runner-up gains the berth if the regular season champion (top seed Morningside) wins the postseason).
