Morningside and Northwestern captured Great Plains Athletic Conference basketball tourney championships Tuesday night.

The Mustangs won the men’s title as Steve O’Neill knocked down a jump shot in the closing seconds for an 87-85 upset of top seed Dordt.

Northwestern backed up its top seed for the women with an 83-71 triumph over Morningside.
