The first two rounds (36 holes) of the 2019-20 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Golf Championship from The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion are complete.

Morningside is the clubhouse leader. The final 36 holes will be played in the spring at Bent Tree Golf Club in Council Bluffs.

Morningside, the two-time defending GPAC champions, have the team lead with a two-round total of 622 (313-309). The Briar Cliff Chargers are in second place at 673. Concordia, Dakota Wesleyan and Jamestown round out the top five with scores of 681, 685 and 689 respectively.

Individually, Maria Nava of Morningside leads the field with an eight over 152 (73-79).

Both rounds were played on Monday due to the forecast of rain for all of the day on Tuesday.
