More Talk on a Special Session on Education Funding

At least one legislative democratic leader thinks a special session may not be a bad idea.
Senator Bernie Hunhoff of Yankton says a session dedicated to education funding would be a good idea.

A group of west river legislators have called for a special session to address “Common Core” standards, and the impact on school funding.
Hunhoff says he doesn’t agree with the concern about “Common Core”.

The Blue Ribbon Task Force on Education is just beginning the second phase of its meeting schedule. Hunhoff says that group needs time to finish its work.

The task force is set to meet into October before delivering its recommendations to the Governor and legislature.
