This week Attorneys General from now 27 states, including South and North Dakota and Nebraska, filed suit against the EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on their proposed clean water rule. The regulation is a re-write of their original Waters of the U.S. Rule. Nebraska Cattlemen’s Association President Dave McCracken says the regulation goes too far and gives the agencies to much regulatory power.
McCracken says if it’s allowed to be implemented the Clean Water Rule will hurt not only agriculture, but businesses and individuals.
McCracken says his group is also working with Congress on legislation to slow down or stop the EPA and the Corps from this over regulation.
