The Yankton City Commission this week approved another sidewalk café license for a downtown bar.
Several of those have been issued following changes in state law.
Community and Economic Development Director Dave Mingo says the rules have some standards for the types of furniture that can be used outdoors……

Mingo says the bar owners can move furniture around, as long as the sidewalk remains open to pedestrians…..

City Commissioner Nathan Johnson says it is a good move for downtown businesses…..

The commission has started a number of programs in an effort to help the downtown business district.
